Homeless Rescue Services partners with an outreach in Porte-au-Prince, Haiti.
Orphan children are cared for in this poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. The orphanage has grown from accommodating 40 to now serving over 100 children. Many of you helped provide for the new building to care for so many new children. They feed, clothe, and educate so many children. This is a demonstration of a true work of faith. Another building now accommodates these children. Many of you have been part of this miracle.

My father died April 13, 2005, a family man devoted to his beloved wife and children! In memory, I remember father visited a church Calvary Assembly of God San Pablo; he and his wife visited it first years before when he came to California. Since he has passed I wish often he could be around to give counsel. I was deeply appreciative that three ministers did offer guidance Rev. Larry Wattell, Rev. Malcolm Lee, and Rev. John Anderson met and prayed with him regularly as he sought understanding and forgiveness. As a long time resident of Richmond, Daddy contributed to the community through the ministry and owning and operating Allen’s Motor Tune-Up for over 50 years, and was also a former Board member of the Bay Area Rescue Mission. A man of God, a man of simplicity, he knew the Lord, and he inspired me to seek God in prayer and through His Holy Word. I am forever grateful for the love, leadership, and guidance shown to me over the years. The footsteps lay before me leading me to kneel humbly at the foot of the cross of our Savior Jesus Christ. A minister throughout many variances he invested in people and he invested in me. This was a man who personified God for me. His mission was to serve the Lord with all that he possessed. He could believe God for anything. He asked God for everything. A motto, "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you." Heeding to the call God placed upon his life, Dad worked and encouraged many souls to seek God in fullness. Dad’s my hero a testament to his faith, an inspiration to us all. He lived a good life: it’s the nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. I hope my father is feeling peace, love, and joy. Thanks everybody for all your love, light, healing, and prayers.
